We’re thrilled to announce that Ananda Professionals Forum UK has decided to contribute towards a rural education development project. Manampitiya Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya is a rural school with 125 students in a remote area of north-west Sri Lanka. Even with basic facilities, this school has produced national-level sportsmen.

Manampitiya Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya lacks basic facilities, and its students engage in their daily studies under primitive conditions. Therefore, a project has been initiated to provide the school with toilet facilities, books, stationery, school bags, footwear and sports equipment.

We’ve decided to support this school as our first community-based project. We’ll deliver that project with our partner group, Old Anandians Centenary Group.
